Human Resource Manager

 

Our client, an established manufacturing company located in Van Wert, OH is seeking a full-time Human Resource Manager responsible for providing high quality HR services and guidance to managers, supervisors and employees supporting a population of 90 of union/non-union employees.   The HR Manager is responsible for ensuring HR issues are managed in a professional and timely manner, consistently meeting priorities for the business.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate must be seen as a role model to their customers, displaying exemplary behaviors aligned with the business.   The position is responsible for:

 

Staffing/resource management, on-boarding of new hires, EEO compliance, record keeping, employee and labor relations, compensation & benefits, safety, training & development and the exit process.  

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in HR or related degree is required.   Working in a manufacturing, union environment, compliance and safety is preferred.   A minimum of 5-10 years progressive responsible experience in HR with a minimum of 5 years in a HR Manager role.   Professional HR Certification (SPHR, PHR) is highly desirable but not required.   Must be knowledgeable of federal and state employment laws and regulations.   Must have a strong commitment to confidentiality, problem resolution and team building.   Excellent inter-personal skills and the proven ability to effectively work, communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization.   Proficient with MS software and database management systems.
