Executive Coach

Bette Novak is an Executive Coach, Organizational Performance Consultant and Leadership Trainer for TBP. She’s a strategic partner and visionary leader with 40 years of training and consulting experience in the public and private sectors. As an organization development leader, she worked with multiple agencies such as United States Department of Education, Department of Health & Human Services, Department of Treasury, Department of Commerce, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission among other agencies. As an Executive Leadership Coach, she worked with Fairfax County Virginia Department of Public Works to  develop leadership teams, create strategic plans and assess customer service. Her specialty is aligning an organization’s mission to meet strategic goals, building interpersonal relationships, and creating positive change in the workplace. 

She has worked with Senior Executive Service (SES) and mid-level managers in the US government. She received training from William Bridges author of “Transitions” on organizational change management. She also received training on learning leadership and organization development from DDI’s “Interactive Supervisory Skills”, Dr. Peter Senge’s

“Learning Organizations and Leadership” and from author and expert, William Isaac, “Dialogue: The Art of Thinking Together,” both at the Society for Organizational Leadership (SoL). In addition, Bette received training on Coaching Career Transition when working for CareerBuilder. She is trained to be qualified in assessments – MBTI, DISC, and 1-Opt Assessment Suites.

Bette holds a Master of Education from Georgia State University and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development from Marymount University. She received her Bachelors’ in history and political science at Agnes Scott College. Obtained certificates in Organization Development from Georgetown University and Leadership and Team Coaching from George Washington University. 

She received her training and certification for professional coaching from Newfield Network, an accredited International Coaching Federation (ICF) program. Bette holds coaching credentials, Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from International Coach Federation and Board Certified Coach (BCC) from CCE-Global.
