Pyrotechnician / Fireworks Crew Member
Starfire Corporation

Starfire Corporation is a growing family-owned and operated pyrotechnics & entertainment production company. We are known to produce high-quality fireworks shows in over 20 states across the United States. Starfire is currently preparing for our busy season in 2025.

 

We are seeking part-time, seasonal Pyrotechnicians to join our crews in the Carrolltown, PA, New York, New Jersey, Florida, DC Metro and Missouri areas. Must be available to work nights and weekends, especially during the summer months. Starfire will conduct all training during the winter and spring of 2025.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works as part of a team to set-up a pyrotechnics/fireworks show, shoot the show, and tear-down after the show ends. 

  • Follows directions to pack the truck at the end of the show and unpacks upon returning to the assigned facility. 

  • Follows all Starfire Corporation procedures including directions from the Crew Chief  

  • Follows the fireworks industry regulations and internal procedures for assigned activities and continues to learn the industry. 

  • Keeps Crew Chief informed of safety or compliance concerns. 

  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

All responsibilities are performed under the direction of the Crew Chief and following internal policies and procedures as required by Starfire Corporation, ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives), DOT (Department of Transportation) and other regulatory agencies.​

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

  • An interest in earning extra income as a seasonal worker in the summer of 2025.

  • Ability to participate in paid training (classroom and onsite) in spring of 2025.

  • Ability to take direction, follow detailed instructions in handling explosives.

  • Previous experience in pyrotechnics and/or fireworks is preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to successfully pass the federal ATF background check.

  • Ability to work in a noisy and inclement weather environment.

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
