
Senior Editorial Project Manager
Medical Communications
Our client, a highly respected, small boutique scientific and medical communications company, is looking for its next great Senior Editorial Project Manager. In this 100% remote role, you will manage scientific communications such as manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and related materials, through efficient planning, scheduling, coordination, communications, and financial management. Liaising with staff, clients, medical professionals, and others, you will direct project goals, objectives, deliverables, and deadlines, providing project updates and process guidance. Having primary responsibility for editorial project management, you will have a key role in ensuring quality outcomes for clients while acting as a trusted resource both inside and outside the organization.
This role requires strong project management and process skills. Quality must be at the forefront of everything you do for your clients and colleagues. Meeting client expectations and developing strong relationships is critical to success in this role. You will need to be able to assemble resources to get things done, orchestrating multiple activities simultaneously while ensuring key information is shared with the right people at the right time. The ability to keep your composure and hold things together during hectic times will be key to delivering quality and timely outcomes. You must have the technical knowledge, skills, and creativity to deliver quality results while adhering to a strong set of core values and ethical standards.
A Bachelor’s degree is required; a major in English or communications is preferred. A minimum of 4 years’ publication management and support experience and 2–3 years’ editorial process background is needed. Extended experience in project management, including financial oversight, is essential. MS Office product proficiency and a working knowledge of project finances and budgeting is critical.
