
Utility Maintenance Person
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the rural Pittsburgh area (Clinton) is seeking an experienced Utility/Plant Maintenance person for our facility. Position requires general upkeep of our buildings and grounds. The successful candidate performs a variety of tasks to support the facility and its manufacturing and repairing of products. Duties / Responsibilities:

General upkeep of buildings (i.e., painting, cleaning, sweeping, etc.)

Mow or trim lawns using hand and power tools and clear debris from the grounds

Snow removal of sidewalks, parking areas

Facility trash removal

Assist production with parts cleaning, deburring and oiling

Emptying of chip dumpsters
-
Moving product from one work area to another

Miscellaneous tasks required to assist in the daily production process
Experience: 2 - 10 years
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Specialized Skills, Training or Abilities:
-
Equipment Selection – Understand and use of basic hand tools and grounds keeping equipment

Reading Comprehension -- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents
-
Equipment Maintenance -- Keeping outside of machines and work area clean
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a production plant environment with limited exposure to elements such as dust, noise, fumes or temperature changes, and with limited exposure to mechanical, electrical, fire, chemical, or other hazards. Work involves frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds and use of cranes for parts weighing over 50 pounds.
