Lindsay Pfister, Ed.D., PC, SHRM-SCP
Senior Human Resources Consultant
Through varied opportunities both professionally and as a volunteer, Dr. Lindsay Pfister learned that strong relationships lead to the development of strong and effective organizations because people are the most valuable asset. For over 20 years, Dr. Pfister has helped public and private organizations grow to become more effective through the establishment of processes, structure, and positive relationships. Beginning her career as a teacher and moving to the principalship in private education, she was able to secure buy-in from faculty and families resulting in increased use of technology, data-driven decision making, and programs to support all learners. She has been successful through strong communication, staff selection, and clear planning.
While acquiring her doctorate in educational leadership at the University of Pittsburgh, she moved into the role of Director of Human Resources in a local public school district with approximately 4,000 students and 500+ staff. In this role, she implemented multiple processes and systems to ensure consistency and equity in all areas of human resources in both union and non-union environments. In her role as Director of Human Resources at West Jefferson Hills School District, Dr. Pfister oversees all areas of personnel for the district and has helped move the organization forward with the implementation of human capital technologies, standardized hiring and compensation structures, and a broadening recruiting plan to increase the number of qualified and diverse candidates for all positions. She has conducted workplace investigations. She is most proud of the strong relationships and open-door policy she has established with all staff, administration, and the school board members.
In addition to her work experiences, through volunteering she has been able to further develop her skills in strategic planning, hiring, working with municipalities, and communities. In addition to her doctorate, Dr. Pfister holds degrees in elementary education, school administration, and instructional technology and the SHRM-SCP and professional coaching certifications.
