Senior HR Consultant

Laurie Hellested is a Senior Human Resources (HR) Consultant) with over 25 years of HR experience, working with small and large organizations. Prior to working with TBP she worked with Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and Falling Water on special HR projects such as job descriptions, recruiting and other projects. Specializing in strategic partnering, Laurie uses her in-depth experience and calm confidence to help build relationships of trust and mutual respect with leaders and colleagues in a multitude of industry settings. Laurie began a highly successful career in HR with both health systems such as Excela Health and UPMC, leading recruitment teams and operations in two other large health systems. Laurie specializes in creative recruitment strategies, HR best practices, and organizational excellence.

Laurie’s corporation experience was a Senior Advisor, HR Business Partner at CVS Health (Fortune 500 Company). Laurie partnered for 10 years with executives and leaders at all levels on organizational and talent development, employee relations and engagement, effective communications, strategic planning, compensation and harmonization, recruitment and restructuring, legal matters and has led leadership education throughout her career. 

Through these experiences, Laurie has gained agility and a keen ability to adapt to leading and supporting various HR needs of organizations at all levels through effective communications and responsiveness in a multitude of workplace settings. Laurie is versed as a tactical and strategic HR partner.

She graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Psychology and was hired into the University’s Department of Psychiatry where she worked as a new graduate with several leading PhD researchers. In addition to her career in human resources, Laurie has also recently acquired further formal education at the Trinity School of Natural Health, and holds a certification as a Natural Health Practitioner. She brings a unique blend of positive energy, wisdom and empathy into any workplace and genuinely cares about her clients.
